Microsoft Will Push Automatic IE 7 Updates This Month

Microsoft reported last year, and Infoworld reminded us last month, that Internet Explorer 7 will be added to Windows Server Update Services as an Update Rollup package on February 12.  This means that most systems will automatically install IE 7, unless administrators or PC owners take willful steps to refuse the update.

Good news, as far as I'm concerned.  While IE 7 still has a few annoying habits, it's a vast improvement over IE 6.  The sooner that web developers can safely drop support for IE 6, the better.
